Mission & Objectives

Our mission is to train family medicine leaders who are equipped to collaborate in inter-professional teams to provide exceptional full spectrum care for rural and underserved communities.

Program History

OHSU Health – Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC) Family Medicine Residency is a new three-year community based program at Hillsboro Medical Center (formerly Tuality Healthcare) in Hillsboro, Oregon. The residency received initial accreditation in May 2020 from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and welcomed its first class of eight residents in July 2021. The residency is the third unique family medicine residency sponsored by OHSU.

Application Process

Medical Students

Medical students are welcome to apply for rotations through OHSU Department of Family Medicine. We host third year clerkship students and acting internship students from OHSU and via VSAS/VSLO from visiting medical schools. We are also a member of the COMPADRE grant, which is a joint program with OHSU and UC-Davis that places students at rural training sites throughout California and Oregon.
