Mission & Objectives

Mission: To train exceptional Family Physicians who are ideally suited for rural practice in the 21st Century. Our graduates will be competent, caring, compassionate and ethical physicians, who are at home in rural Oregon, and are culturally competent in the primary care of a diverse rural population.

Vision: To be recognized as a program with commitment to training extraordinary family medicine physicians that embrace our community, feel at home in rural Roseburg, Oregon and treat each patient as if they were his/her family member.

Program History

We received initial accreditation in Feb/March 2018, and accepted our first class of Interns in March 2020.

4 weeks of Community Medicine & Leadership
2 weeks of Dermatology
6 weeks of Inpatient Family Medicine
4 weeks of Geriatrics
6 weeks Night Float (Hospital Medicine)
2 weeks of Ophthalmology
2 weeks of Otolaryngology (ENT)
4 weeks of Psychiatry
12 weeks of Selective/Electives
2 weeks of Urology

Applicants should submit their completed application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applicants will be contacted via ERAS if they are invited for a personal interview.
